Sometimes you just want a flavorful, festive cup of tea. Of course, there are herbal properties and benefits to each of the herbs in this recipe, but I made this one simply to enjoy a super flavorful cup of tea that reminds me of everything fall.
If you like a hot cup of apple cider in the fall, this is a must-try recipe.
Red Rooibos- High in antioxidants and supports healthy cholesterol and blood sugar
Cinnamon- Anti-inflammatory and helps support healthy blood sugar
Chicory Root- Improves gut health with high levels of inulin, also used as a coffee replacement
Clove- Antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, helps with gut health and healthy blood sugar
When you’re brewing yourself a cup, add half a teaspoon to the blend. This finishes your cup with a sweet note reminiscent of hot apple cider on a cool crisp fall day.
**Side note…have you ever had a cup of cider and afterward felt a heaviness in your gut? Me too. Apples are high in acid, and if you’re sensitive to that, it may leave you feeling uncomfortably full, and bloated, or even give you some indigestion or heartburn. This recipe gives all the flavor without any of those uncomfortable side effects.
