Description
Marshmallow has demulcent, diuretic, emollient, galactagogue, nutritive, and vulnerary properties. Its aerial parts are traditionally used to support the respiratory system, to soothe the skin, throat, stomach, and gastrointestinal tract. The demulcent property makes Marshmallow a very mucilaginous herb, but the aerial parts are less so in an infusion.
